Welcome to Manhattan. Watch your step. This Halloween the supernatural is taking over the Big Apple. Meet Viki Aragon and Carter Vaggio, two facinating people with secrets and past pain. Victoria 'Viki' Aragon comes from a wealthy family riddled with secrets. After her sister's death she's all alone, except for Martha Aragon, the evil and eccentric grandmother who has never considered Viki family. The fates must love torturing her because if she is to inherit her trust fund Viki has to live with her grandmother until her next birthday. Luckily it's only days away.
Viki isn't your typical New York socialite. And while some would spend her trust fun on clothes and shoes, Viki's going to use it to help victims of spousal abuse, a cause very close to her heart.
Carter Vaggio isn't your typical artist. He's extremely talented with his hands... and a paintbrush. He also has plenty of secrets and painful memories. Originally from Italy, he's tall, dark and handsome with green eyes that will melt you. Oh, and he can read minds so he always knows what you want. ;)
Just like my contemporary release in July(SLOW BURN from Cobblestone), this is another "don't judge a book by it's cover" and "nothing is as it seems" book.
As Halloween, and her birthday, approach Viki discovers that nothing is what it seems. Especially the gorgeous man she meets at the Masquerade Ball. When her grandmother sends Viki to have her portrait painted, the Fates finally decide to play nice for a change. The artist of her portrait turns out to be the mystery man from the ball, Carter Vaggio, a man with a long and extraordinary past.
As Viki turns on the seduction, she finds herself in the midst of the supernatural where myths are real and dreams do come true. But with her greedy grandmother still meddling, will love be stronger than death?
Have you ever been to a Masquerade Ball? Open the pages of Portrait of Seduction and be swept up into a glittering room full of satin, sequins and feathers.
Viki is definitely stunning in her red Valentino gown.
